(Stockholm, Sweden - May 30, 2018) Lollapalooza is pleased to announce the latest addition to its global family with Lollapalooza Stockholm, taking place June 28-29, 2019 at Gärdet, a beautiful park in the heart of Stockholm, Sweden. Stockholm becomes the sixth international edition of the world-class festival, alongside Santiago, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Berlin and Paris. The inaugural Lollapalooza Stockholm will feature four stages, innovative culinary selections, art, and much more. A complete lineup and ticket information will be released later this year.

“The historic Gärdet and the iconic festival Lollapalooza are the perfect match. For decades we have been wanting to do a really big festival in Stockholm and we are very honored and excited to do this together with Charles Attal and his team at C3 Presents,” said Thomas Johansson, Chairman International Music, Live Nation. “Welcome to Stockholm, Lollapalooza!”

“It takes years of research and planning to determine the right cities to host Lollapalooza, and we never take the decision lightly. With its incredible culture, vibrant music seen and beautiful green spaces, Stockholm proved to be an ideal city to add to our growing international family. We are fortunate and honored to partner with Anna Sjolund, Thomas Johansson and their team, who are highly respected around the world as some of the best promoters in the business,” said Charles Attal, Partner, C3 Presents.

Lollapalooza Stockholm is produced by Perry Farrell, WME, C3 Presents and Live Nation Sweden with their subsidiary company Luger - the award-winning organization behind Swedish festivals such as Way Out West and Åre Sessions.

About Lollapalooza

Launched by founder Perry Farrell in 1991 as a touring festival, Lollapalooza remains an innovator in festival culture 27 years later. Lollapalooza was the first festival to bring together artists from a wide range of musical genres on one bill, it was also the first to travel, the first to expand to multiple days, the first to introduce a second stage, the first to blend art and activism, the first to offset its carbon emissions, the first to put electronic dance music artists on the main stage, the first to create family friendly programming, the first to make its home in an urban city center and the first to expand internationally.

Lollapalooza has grown into an annual world-class festival in Chicago, as well as culturally rich countries including Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Germany and France. Lollapalooza is one of the premier destinations both for music fans in the United States and abroad. The festival expanded to four days in 2016 in celebration of 25 years and continues to bring fans four full days of music and over 180 bands on 8 stages. In 2017 Lollapalooza brought in over 245 million dollars in local economic impact and over 1.2 billion dollars in total, since 2010.
